Job Purpose and Impact
The Ruminant Technology Lead will provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership to proactively support the ruminant offering in the management of a complex and strategically important product portfolio. In this role, you will support the other product specialists and assist in the execution of product line plans, including launches and product management to ensure the provision of the correct product portfolio. Key Accountabilities
Provide support to build and execute the strategy for a large, technically complex and strategic ruminant product line globally, with significant focus on APAC markets.
Partner collaboratively with technical, domain specific team members for product line support as needed.
Optimize the product line portfolio to ensure the coherence and value of the portfolio in terms of functionality, reducing unnecessary complexity and identifying gaps.
Develop and maintain the content of the product line university material.
Deliver product line and service trainings.
Ensure a safe working environment and compliance of product safety.
Other duties as assigned
Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in animal science or equivalent experience
In-depth ruminant nutrition knowledge
Technical knowledge of the chemistry of the ingredients
Practical experience in the functionality of the ingredients in relevant applications
Customer facing technical knowledge experience
Minimum of six years of related work experience in ruminant nutrition
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or other post-secondary degree in animal science
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in ruminant nutrition
Understand ruminant nutrition industry in China, India, or South Korea
Passion for talent development
Strategic business acumen – customer segments, customer needs, industry priorities, growth & value propositions
Ability to work in global teams and matrixed environments
Influencer and driver of impact toward business goals
