Principal Accountabilities :
- Manually scrape, shovel, broom, soap, and spray down areas in the Refinery Area
- Removes and disposes of all waste debris, per established procedures
- Steam and tempered hose inspections quarterly
- Manage dumpster removal and supplies for the plant(Chemicals, Cleaning utensils)
- Placing work orders for general plant issues
- Painting hand-rails, pipes, etc
- Retrieving supplies from receiving for refinery
- Unplugging backed up drains
- Shoveling and salting refinery walkways when needed
- Ordering supplies when needed
- Picking up trash, paper, insulation, skids etc.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations(including food safety policies and procedures)
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications :
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal / written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems.
- Prior experience in production related work
- Previous experience operating mobile equipment like forklift, bobcat, frontend loader
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with emphasis on Excel and Word
- Ability to be self motivated and work independently
