Principal Accountabilities
35% Relieve Packaging Operators and Packaging Shift Lead who are on vacation, at lunch or meetings.
30% Assists Lead by assures all machinery is functioning correctly, including inspection of all Quality Control focus areas, materials, products and containers at each step of the packaging process.
10% Ensures the Line equipment and supplies are ready.
10% Ensures the hold area is being maintained appropriately.
5% Cleans work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.
5% Fills supplies as needed.
5% Completes various paperwork and any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Ability to read and understand all safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and daily correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, plant visitors, or employees of the organization.
Ability to complete basic mathematical computations.
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or older
6 or more months of food manufacturing experience
Basic knowledge of Inventory software. Software specific training will be provided on the job.
Must be able and willing to work nights, overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Bi-lingual English/Spanish.
Forklift experience
Experience operating machinery used in packaging process, including but not limited to: box-maker, formax, grinder, tumbler, and palletizer.
