What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Control Agent IAH position at Cargolux?
TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position is responsible for Invoice preparation in Cargo Revenue Accounting system (iCargo).
Overall main task is to ensure accurate data on airway bill (AWB) level prior to finalization of billing issuance to the customers. This involves:
- Check/update all financial data relevant to invoicing (based on AWB copy/allocation and/or block space agreements, spot rates, commodities, etc.)
- Check sales reports from General Sales Agents.
- Check/update routing to ensure correct revenue split.
- Check/ensure correct calculation of other charges.
- Make sure all flown AWB’s are being invoiced on time to respect given deadlines such as IATA CASS submission due dates and monthly close timeline.
- Coordinate with departments upstream (e.g. sales, operations, revenue management) and downstream (accounting, billing/collection) to adjust data if needed to allow correct invoicing.
- Check adjustments requests and initiate credit notes or debit notes if applicable.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- Attention to details and meticulous attitude
- Have a general accounting/finance knowledge
- Feeling comfortable to work in a team as well as autonomously
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Analyzing, processing and understanding information
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under time pressure
- Strong IT skills, especially with MS Excel
- Experience in air cargo or logistics industry will be considered as an advantage
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position based in Houston, TX.
- Occasional travel required within the entire Cargolux network.
- Full time, permanent.
