What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Service Manager position at CarHop?
CarHop has an great opportunity for an experienced Automotive Service Manager.
As a member of our Leadership team with CarHop Service Department you will be required to play an active role in day to day communication with internal teams and vendors while providing excellent customer service.
This position requires cross-functional working relationships, and cooperation between: the CarHop Reconditioning team, Sales Reps, Branch Managers, finance department and Account Managers for CarHop Finance
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Coaching/leading the service team - Hire, train, develop, and manage the performance of all Service Team Members.
- Leader in communication with service team to understand/read estimates
- Skill set to negotiate and control spend levels to keep cost low for our customers
- Communication with shops to set up as potential vendors
- Communication with customers through our sales/collections team on phone to help them understand next step in regards to potential repairs in a prompt and respectful manner
- Demonstrate customer focus in all decisions and communications while keeping the Company’s service goals in mind.
- Teach, train, coach and mentor their team in order to develop consistent and best in class execution and customer Service.
- Managing profitability by monitoring controllable expenses
