About the Role
Caribou is seeking a Senior Manager, Lending Strategy to help define and support the strategy, objectives, and key results of its lending team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic insight and analytical support to our lending organization across all functions. The Senior Manager, Lending Strategy will be part of our lending solutions team and will work day-to-day with our Chief Lending Officer. Your responsibilities will include:
- Clearly define strategic opportunities and risks: current and future lending products, customer segments, and geographic footprint
- Research, design, and evaluate white space lending product and partnership opportunities
- Identify macro- and micro-economic trends, and assess likely impacts on our overall lending strategy
- Drive strategic decisions, crisply framing a solution set, identifying potential paths and tradeoffs, and accelerating time-to-market
- Own the OKR process, collaborating with lending team leads to develop metrics and dashboards, and organize regular reviews with each group
- Lead our team’s high-level operating cadence: monthly functional reviews, quarterly strategic planning sessions, and more
- Work with individual lending team leads to strengthen process flows, best practices, and scaling ability within their groups
- Proactively escalate and resolve potential issues across the lending team by calling them to the attention of leadership and identifying potential solutions
This role can be based out of Caribou offices in Washington, DC; Denver, CO; Austin, TX. Alternatively, the role may be based remotely within the U.S. Caribou currently requires that all personnel and visitors to any of its offices are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. As a result, candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be eligible for this position (subject to any exemptions or accommodations due to medical or religious reasons).
About You
You:
- 3-5 years of experience at a top management consulting, investment banking, or similar work at a fintech company
- Excellent analytical skills, including comfort working with large data sets and proactively identifying relevant analyses and takeaways
- Proven ability to track, prioritize, and steer multiple concurrent projects to success using data to track progress along the way
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Entrepreneurial, with high tolerance for a fast-moving organization, and efficient with limited resources
- Deep personal drive to help people improve their financial lives
Bonus points for:

- Experience with SQL and business intelligence applications
