Job Title: Float Enrichment Companion
Reports to: Administrator/DON
Job Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Travel Requirements: 100% required (overnight travel)
Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. May have C.N.A. or other specialty training but is not required.
Purpose: Float Enrichment Companions are an essential part of the team. This is a multifunctional role requiring compassion and respect for all residents and colleagues. Float Enrichment Companions purpose is to travel to multi locations to be the primary subject matter expert in all things related to assisted living, including but not limited to Cares, Medication Administration, cooking, cleaning, laundry, training, development of current staff and enhance the quality of life for the people that live or work here.

Overview of Responsibilities:
Estimation of core responsibilities:
Activities – 40%
While providing a safe environment:
· Engage residents in social activities including, but not limited to light exercise, games, conversation, and companionship
· Assist with planning, preparation, and conducting of activities, parties, and events
Care-Related Tasks – 30%
· Answer resident call lights and determine how to best help them
· Provide physical support for residents with daily cares and personal hygiene. Including, but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
· Report and record any developments in resident’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance
Medication – 15%
· Administer daily medications, either prescription or non-prescription, to residents
· Follow written administration instructions
· Perform accurate and timely documentation of medication administration
· Monitoring and recording any developments in resident’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance. Reporting to appropriate parties when necessary.
Environmental – 15%
· Listening to resident’s needs, ensuring that their environment is clean and safe.
· Housekeeping duties including, but not limited to resident room cleaning, facility cleaning and laundry.
· Within in the Kitchen:
o Assist with planning, preparation, and serving of meals.
o Prepare dining room for meals.
o Cleaning of kitchen and dining room after meals.
o Wash and return dishes to their appropriate place within the kitchen.
General Requirements
1. Must provide a culture of safety, always placing resident needs first.
2. Immediately report any significant resident changes to appropriate administrator.
3. Must show good judgment and conduct oneself in a professional manner.
4. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position and comply with all safety, exercise, medical, dietary, and company directives.
a. Employee must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs. without risk of injury.
5. Because the facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, staff are required to work shifts scheduled to include a minimum of other weekend (mostly 3 weekends per month) and a minimum of half of the holidays recognized by the facility (per the employee handbook).
6. Must be flexible and adaptable to change to meet the needs of the residents in the facility
7. Must be able to read write and speak English at an adult level.
8. Must pass mandatory background check and fingerprint as required by state regulations.
9. Must complete all initial and annual training requirements.
10. Must follow the facilities policies and procedures.
11. Must be well-organized and possess planning skills to complete assigned tasks during shift.
12. Must be clean and adhere to the facilities dress code and tobacco policies.
13. Must possess the ability to follow orders and perform delegated duties.
14. Must comply with infection control policies and standards.
15. Must attend staff meetings based on facility requirements.
