Caring Transitions provides a white-glove service, start to finish or ala carte for people who are transitioning out of their homes. We service those who need assistance with any life transition and strive to minimize the stress of rightsizing or relocating by focusing on the planning part of the move so our clients can focus on their next phase of life.
About you: We are seeking energetic and goal-oriented team players who love helping seniors! This position operates directly under the direction of the Manager-On-Duty. The position has direct interactions with clients and members of the public at large. As a team member, you may pack, sort, organize, clean, photograph, and move items depending on the project.
*Must have a valid driver’s license*
General Responsibilities:
- Reports to the manager-on-duty on time for their shift and assists team with the physical labor of packing, sorting and moving clients' items to assist with client transition.
- Greets clients with a smile, receives orders, processes payments, and responds appropriately to customer issues
- Operates cash register or point of sale devices as needed for Estate Sales
- Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts
- Communicates positively with clients, peers, and Managers
- Provides exceptional customer service as you safely move, pack/unpack and stage/resettle client household items
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Professional attitude and demeanor
- Experience in the fields of general labor or warehouse may be helpful
- Ability to follow instructions or direction
- LOVES organizing, sorting, and team-oriented work!
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, transportation, and good driving record
- Frequent walking and/or standing, bending, and stooping
- Stamina to lift items (up to 40 lbs) frequently as needed
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 lbs. (if necessary) from time-to-time
- Flexibility with environments related to weather, client houses may be warm or cold
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
