Job Title: Sanitation Manager
Location: Montgomery, IL
Hours: 9:00pm - 7am including weekends
Position Summary: The primary role of Sanitation Manager is to ensure the plant production equipment and facility is to clean, to meet food safety, customer quality, SQF and worker safety requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Manage and monitor the Sanitation process developed to assure food safety and quality.
- Interpret quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in the organization.
- Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during sanitation activities.
- Review and verify daily sanitation paperwork for Montgomery.
- Provide detailed directions for scheduling and completion of internal facility audits.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with customer complaint trending and resolution.
- Prepare and present programs to maintain training of all plant employees in policies and programs such as GMPs, HACCP, SSOP's, and Company Allergen Policy.
- Review all data obtained during all sanitation activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
- Keep management abreast of significant issues or developments identified during sanitation activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
- Train Sanitation personnel to perform in-plant process inspections and internal audits as required by established plant auditing programs.
- Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry sanitation codes and standards.
- Establish an active role in plant sanitation improvement within the organization.
- Design and implement sanitation training programs to key personnel in conjunction with other plant based management.
- Investigate and provide timely follow-up for customer complaints regarding sanitation concerns or deficiencies.
- Ability to interpret lab results/data as it relates to sanitation testing requirements.
- Manage Sanitation Cost.
- Maintain a sanitation staff size sufficient to complete cleaning task in a timely matter.
- Other duties as assigned.
