Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Specialist is an entry level position responsible for day-to-day financial transactions including but not limited to, the following:
· Code and process vendor invoices, client related check runs, expense reimbursement requests, credit card reconciliations and research outstanding checks.
· Set up and maintain all vendors; obtain W-9s on all new vendors and maintain 1099 payments; prepare year end 1099s.
· Prepare and process annual unclaimed funds for old outstanding checks.
· Run daily conflict checks on all new clients and matters.
· Sort incoming client checks and prepare for daily deposits.
· Post incoming client checks/payments for daily deposits.
· Assist with month-end/year-end process in generating various reports.
· Coverage of Billing and AR staff.
· Assist on various accounting projects.
Qualifications
· Experience working in an accounting department.
· Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Highly organized and detail oriented.
· Proficient in MS Office products, especially with Excel.
