Plant Manager

The position is accountable for the effective production management and will use of Lean Manufacturing and other process improvement techniques to drive improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and service.
Position Responsibilities
- Building an inclusive lean culture of high integrity, teamwork, commitment to excellence and customer focused intensity
- Lead, direct and coach employee performance through communication and documentation. Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, cost, delivery, service, and productivity goal attainment
- Foster culture of Continuous Improvement; including Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma Problem Solving, Preventative and Corrective Action processes
- Develop and sustain 5S/Visual Workplace organization, including material flow and inventory management tools
- Manage the overall production activities to ensure that objectives in safety, quality, efficiency, volume, and cost are achieved
- Highly developed leadership and communication skills are required
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities and creativity required
- Assures maintenance, repair and housekeeping of the building and all production equipment
- Willingness and ability to learn all manufacturing processes, company EH&S protocols, HR management and any other aspect of plant functions as deemed necessary for safe and efficient plant operations
- Knowledge of manufacturing software programs (preferably JD Edwards)
- Works collaboratively with Leadership Team
- Provide support in implementing/maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Manage the buildings and grounds such that good manufacturing practices are adhered to and a professional appearance is maintained
