Starting wages: $15.50 (varies based on experience)

The driving force behind our growth at Carlisle Sports Emporium is the leadership of skilled and dedicated supervisors. We’re searching for an experienced supervisor to guide our team and reinforce our reputation as a leader in innovation. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to handle the details of daily operations along with more complex, systems-based protocols that demand strict adherence to regulation. You’ll not only direct the workflow of our team members, but also interact with guests as the face of our company. The most successful supervisors will provide full attention to quality control and continuous customer satisfaction, achieved through effective employee training and implementation of company policy. After becoming an expert on our programs, products, and policies, you will be charged with training and guiding our talented team to do the same.

Objectives of this Role

• Motivate employees, resolve issues, and make difficult decisions
• Step into any department/role with ease and confidence to perform up to standard
• Serve as a conduit of communication between employees and senior management
• Assigning roles and tasks to dedicated team members based on strengths and abilities
• Identify and implement positive changes
• Meet and exceed organizational goals with optimum use of workforce and resource allocation
• Monitor and supervise the timely arrival of scheduled employees, with aware of unforeseen challenges such as scheduling

• Assign breaks efficiently being mindful of the daily operations/schedule
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace, this includes stocking supplies and maintaining public spaces
• Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide feedback
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Ensure proper approval for returns and/or exchanges while providing the utmost customer satisfaction and positive interaction with CSE
• Oversee and administer tests to ensure employees have a firm understanding of company policy, products, and procedures
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace, this includes stocking supplies and maintaining clean restrooms and public spaces
• Set performance goals and deadlines in line with company’s vision, monitoring budget and reporting variances to leadership
• Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and discipline as needed
• Receive and track employee and customer complaints, and resolve problems
• File paperwork in organized fashions
• Fulfill miscellaneous needs across departments for the betterment of day to day operations

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven work experience in a supervisory role
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments
• Detail-oriented, well organized and able to adhere to deadlines
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven success following through with tasks and deliverables.
• Extensive knowledge of customer service procedures and principles.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
• Ability to coach and mentor peers and subordinates.
• Ability to motivate people on your team and across departments
• Proven experience training other professionals and/or entry level employees
