Parts Consultant

North Nashville VW/ Mitsubishi is needing to hire a parts consultant.

Duties will be as follows:

Assist all technicians, ensuring they are waited on promptly and courteously.

Assist all retail and wholesale customers on the counter, telephone or email, ensuring they are waited on promptly and courteously.

Place orders on a (need to do) basis, to ensure that daily, overnight and stock special orders arrive in a timely manner.

Communicate incoming and outgoing parts status to appropriate advisers and customers.

Make sure all parts are charged out on repair orders, ensuring they are on the correct lines and all warranty parts are labeled and signed off.

Put up stock, making sure all stock is put in its proper place in a neat and orderly fashion and entered in the system correctly. All stock should be put in its place before leaving for the day.

Maintain the proper gross profit percentage on all sales, ensuring discounts are not given out inappropriately.

Keep work area clean and organized, making sure area is clean of debris and all parts are put back in their respective places at the end of the day.

Turn in all vendor packing lists or invoices by the end of the day and bill parts to invoices or stock numbers as soon as possible.

Take care of all returned and damaged parts, ensuring credits are written and parts are returned to the proper vendor or put in their respective places.

Go through special orders on a daily basis, making sure all dated special orders are returned to the proper vendor or put in their respective places.

Perform any assigned inventory tasks, making sure they are performed as soon as possible.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Participate in all required training, completing it in the required timeframe.

Be on time every day, to make sure your workstation is covered.

All other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
