This positions work hours are typically, 8am to 8pm with a rotating schedule of:
- Week 1: 4 days on, 3 days off
- Week 2: 3 days on, 4 days off
- May occasionally be required to work a night shift (8pm to 8am).
Role Objectives: This position schedules and dispatches workers, work crews, equipment, and/or service vessels for conveyance of materials or freight or for service or emergency needs. The dispatcher uses radio, telephone, and computer to transmit assignments and track operations in progress.

- Schedule and dispatch people and vessels to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs
- Relay orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, supervisors, accounting, and field personnel using computers, telephones and two-way radios
- Confer with customers or supervisors to address questions, problems, or requests for service or equipment
- Advise appropriate parties regarding traffic problems such as weather, congestion, and hazards
- Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work performed, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch related information for dispatch and accounting
- Ensure a clean and orderly work area at the end of each shift
- Other duties and special projects as assigned

Education/Exerience:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 1-2 years of related experience required

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Requires repetitive motion, hearing, talking, grasping, fingering, sitting, bend, stoop and reach.
- Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading, as well as peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions as work is performed in an office.
Working Conditions:
- Nearly always work indoors.
- Work near others, usually within a few feet
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
- Requires repetitive motion including but not limited to talking, grasping, pointing, and sitting.
Salary : $31,100 - $39,400
