Pay Range: $16.00/hr

SUMMARY
To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

Provides front desk support in the community.
In addition to answering telephones, the person in this position often gives
the first impression of the community to the public and to families and is the
primary liaison between residents, their families, and the community staff, so
we refer to the position as “Director of First Impressions”.
Skills required to perform the duties of our Receptionist successfully:
Welcomes visitors, family members, clients, or
customers, and directs them to the proper destination. Obtains initial
marketing information.
Provide an exemplary first impression to
residents, family members, associates, and customers while providing these
individuals with the correct information, direction, and/or resources.
Answer all inquiries in a professional, clear,
courteous, and energetic manner.
Perform duties thoroughly and timely while
maintaining a high level of customer service (duties may include but are not
limited to answering and directing phone calls, monitoring resident emergency
call lights, reminding residents of upcoming activities or appointments, organizing,
and maintaining resident records, supporting the sales and marketing team;
etc).
Act as a resource about events and programs
being conducted within the community and arrange for lunch or dinner guests, as
well as guests of residents who may be staying in the community.
Acts as a resource and problem solver for
current residents, guests, family, and staff. In this capacity, a high level of
customer satisfaction skills is important.
Answer telephone calls and direct calls. Take
accurate messages.
Read and route incoming mail. Locate and attach
appropriate files to correspondence to be answered by the employer.
Arrange for required maintenance assistance.
Organize and maintain resident files,
correspondence, and other records.
Under direction from the Associate Director/Executive
Assistant or Executive Director, coordinates with the Activities Team about
events taking place within the community and supports the Marketing team by
helping with promotions, residents communications, and assembly of any printed
information.
Stays apprised of upcoming events, programs, or
celebrations to inform and encourage residents and visitors to attend or
participate. Can make reservations and arrangements as necessary.
Maintains the Front Desk area in a neat and
orderly fashion.
Dress appropriately per company standards for
professional front desk presentation.
Monitors emergency call lights and alarms and
responds appropriately.
Follow company protocol in response to
resident-related health and safety issues.
Have an appreciation and understanding of the
senior population.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Other requirements of our Receptionist include:
Passing a DOJ background clearance, receiving a health screening, and obtaining a negative TB test (all provided by the community).
Minimum high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
