What are the responsibilities and job description for the SAP SD Analyst position at Carmeuse Lime & Stone?
The global Sales Distribution / Logistics Execution Business Analyst will be responsible for implementing and supporting SD/LE within the Carmeuse Global ECC 6.0 System. Additionally, SD BA will work on implementation of the next ERP platform as key SD/LE resource. The position will have overall responsibility for both North American and European SD/LE module, providing support where needed across all Carmeuse locations globally.
- Provide SD support to various corporate systems by being an expert in the sales processes used by Carmeuse and by working with the business process owners to ensure compatibility.
- Maintaining the Sales and Distribution (SD) and Logistics Execution (LE) modules of the Global SAP ECC 6.0 within Carmeuse by:
- Configuration of sales and pricing, shipping points, billing, and the balance of SD/LE related configuration points including shipment and shipment costing.
- Support implementation of new sales organizations and plants through gap analysis of business requirement in relation to the global template. Implement SD/LE configuration, data loads, and provide go-live and hyper-care support.
- Gather, define, & document business needs for the SD/LE modules
- Ensure logistic execution functionality for inter & intra company stock transfer orders and related modules; including plant to plant delivery types.
- Develop functional specifications for all customizations: forms, reports, interfaces, conversions, & enhancements. Create high-level technical requirements as needed.
- Create and execute unit, integration, and UAT testing plans. Support new users and business experts through testing.
- Deliver end-user training as needed for support and new rollouts;
- Support day-to-day production environment and end user helpdesk tickets. Analyze and correct problems as they occur in production;
- Provide input, and have unique opportunity, to work on implementation of the next ERP platform over the next several years. Develop extensive understanding of business needs and as-is business processes to support upcoming projects.
- Support data flowing to and from external non-SAP systems: customer sales reporting systems, customer ordering platform, and data warehouse and reporting. Provide functional knowledge to support teams, both IT and business, for these systems.
- Support interfacing through various data methods: middleware through Boomi; master data services, and interim database loads.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred;
- Experience with 2 Full Life Cycle Implementations (less with multiple rollouts);
- Experience with the full project life cycles of the SAP ERP system i.e. scoping, planning, designing, building, testing, and go-live;
- 3 years of SAP configuration experience with the Sales and Distribution and Logistics Execution modules;
- Extensive experience in the configuration and use of master data, sales order processing (quotes, sales orders, billing), shipment and shipment cost documents, routes, pricing, and stock transfer orders;
- Good knowledge of SAP structures, configuration standards, transport protocols, object dependencies and tables, and security authorization;
- Business aptitude in the discipline(s) relevant to the Sales and Distribution and Logistics Execution modules
- Fluent in English (written & spoken)
- Open to project related travel ( /- 20%)
