Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work, including bricklaying, concrete work, and stone setting. As a Mason at Carolina Basement Systems, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the construction, repair, and maintenance of foundations, walls, and other structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform masonry work, including laying bricks, concrete blocks, and stones.
- Construct and repair foundations, walls, chimneys, and other structural elements.
- Mix and apply mortar, grout, and other bonding materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions.
- Ensure work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Operate masonry tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Mason or similar role.
- Proficiency in bricklaying, stone setting, and concrete work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and safety practices.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
