Summary
The primary function of this position is to disassemble and assemble hydraulic and air hoses for all types of equipment. This includes all makes and models of construction equipment, cranes, mobile equipment, fork trucks, tractors, farm equipment, etc.
Essential Functions
- At the start of shift, inspect work area, equipment, and tooling for safety
- Greet, support, and thank all customers for their business
- Prioritize hose builds and complete all in-process builds from prior day by 7:00 AM
- Use reusability guidelines when disassembling and assembling rebuildable hoses
- Use hose and fitting books and SIS 2.0 to look up piece parts for hose builds
- Utilize hose build reports to build hose assemblies
- Follow all contamination control processes and procedures when assembling hose builds
- Communicate piece part backorders and availability to internal and external customers
- Charge out utilized piece parts and supplies daily
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Must have HS Diploma or GED
- Must have mechanical aptitude and or prior experience in hydraulic hose building
- Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this job
- Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements
- Must be able to properly use the equipment and tools to perform this job
- Must have a customer first attitude

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Forklift Licenses
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as parts orders, hose build reports, operating and maintenance instructions, and parts manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as measurements, discounts, circumference, and angles.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and documents furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this Job, depending on site location, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment. The employee may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in some work environments is occasionally loud.
