What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter position at Carolina Comfort Air Inc?
Are you a jack of all trades? Carolina Comfort Air is looking for Carpenter/Painter that can help with a variety of duties including demolition, building, installing, painting and maintaining company grounds. Grounds Crew receives work orders indicating the nature of the work to be done and is generally supervised in the performance of his/her job. This is a non-exempt position, and is expected to act as ambassador for the CCA brand.
Primary Responsibilities and Expectations
- Apply protective materials to equipment, components, and parts to prevent defects and corrosion.
- Prepare work areas for use by mechanics and repairers.
- Must be able to install and work on sheet rock
- Capable of working with lawncare chemicals, seeding, compounds, paints, caulk, tape, etc.
- Assist in all types of construction work, such as additions, remodeling, demolition, and restoring of company properties or contracted work including the removal and replacement of furniture, appliances, or common work.
- Includes having the ability to assist in small property repairs of plumbing, patching, and other work including hanging drywall, sanding, and painting.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment, such as chain saws, bobcats, mowers, sprayers, weed eaters, power washers, power tools, etc., in the maintenance and upkeep of company facilities.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-2 years of previous experience preferred but not necessary
- Must have valid Driver's License
