Area Delivery Manager--Beverage Industry

Area Delivery Manager to train, direct, and supervise a Caffey Delivery Team. The ideal candidate has a valid Class A CDL as well as a three year minimum of management experience within the Food & Beverage Industry. The Area Delivery Manager (ADM) will also use problem-solving skills to handle delivery issues and customer complaints when they arise.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Supervisory Duties:

• May assist the Delivery Manager in interviewing and selecting potential candidates for open positions.
• Provide on-the-job training for Delivery Drivers on assigned routes.
• May assist the Delivery Manager with semi-annual performance reviews and communicate performance issues, achievements, and opportunities to employees.
• Handle any employee discipline or performance issues according to company policy, maintaining proper documentation.
• Work with personnel regarding the implementation of changes in procedures and systems.

Account Service:

• Assign job tasks to driver according to route delivery schedules.
• Work with customers to ensure the timely delivery of product.
• Fill-in and cover routes when regular driver is out due to vacations or other absences. Drive truck to deliver and unload product when necessary. Be proficient with all necessary equipment
• Understand delivery systems regarding routing, time-stops, and driver check-in or check-out activities.
• Responsible for compliance with the company's Product Freshness Policy.
• Follow-up on all customer complaints in assigned accounts to ensure problems are resolved to prevent reoccurrence.

Other Duties:

• Maintain safe driving record and comply with company driving policy.
• Understand warehouse activities regarding driver check-in or check-out, code-dating and truck loading.
• Attend all company meetings as required.
• Work with sales department to accomplish ASM/ADM market visits/work-with activities.
• Check voice mail several times daily and follow-up on details as needed.
• Adhere to dress code, including safety “non-negotiables,” and be properly attired at all times.
• Obey all Federal, State, and local laws.
