Responsibilities:
- The Medical Assistant reviews the provider's schedules and gathers medical information necessary for the provider to conduct the patients’ evaluation during their appointment/exam.
- The Medical Assistant will gather information from the patient regarding the reason for their appointment, and vital signs, and conduct spirometry on all patients. Patient vitals, patient medications, patient review of systems, and patient histories are input into the electronic medical record by the Medical Assistant.
- The Medical Assistant will triage and record phone calls regarding patient care. The providers will give directions to the Medical Assistant regarding how to respond to the call (what medical advice to give) or what instructions the patient should follow. All incoming prescriptions and various medical paperwork will be handled under the direction of the practice provider and the Medical Assistant should assist as requested.
- The Medical Assistant retrieves and completes all incoming medical related faxes.
- Medical Assistants perform full pulmonary function testing and should follow proper practice procedures when testing patients. Training is provided.
- The Medical Assistant is expected to provide proper documentation in a patients’ legal medical record.
- The Medical Assistant cleans and stocks all exam rooms and testing rooms daily.

- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $22.00 per hour
