Extrusion Technician In this role you perform a variety of tasks associated with working with blended plastic resins, loading hoppers, operating a dual screw extruder safely, and producing quality parts. You will be responsible for setting up several different types of equipment for various processes such as extrusion, grinding, sorting, bagging, and packaging products. Job

Qualifications:
The following are required:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid driver's license 
  • Willing and able to work in a variety of areas (assembly, plant, warehouse)
  • Willing and able to stand and or sit for extended periods 
  • Willing and able to lift up to 60 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
  • Willingness and ability to work shift work (days/nights) overtime hours including weekend work when needed The following are preferred:
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work are a plus
  • Knowledge of plastic extrusion processes and plant operations desired
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills and teamwork skills 

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conditioning activities such as sizing, gravity operation, bagging, palletizing
  • Return and rework activities
  • Warehousing activities including forklift operation, collecting samples, spooling, etc. 
  • Gathering data for continuous improvement projects
  • Various other duties as assigned by the supervisor
