Responsibilities

• Interface with Carollo leadership teams to align PR efforts with company-wide and regional growth targets and external visibility goals. Advise the executive leadership team on publicity opportunities.
• Develop and execute effective public relations initiatives to enhance the organization's reputation and brand awareness.
• Maintain relationships with media representatives to position Carollo for future editorial opportunities and ensure positive coverage of the organization's activities and achievements.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners, including Technical Practices and Client Services teams, to identify potential publicity opportunities and develop newsworthy stories and spotlights.
• Create compelling press releases, media kits, and other communication materials to disseminate key messages.
• Coach internal partners before media interaction and during crises. Train staff on interview techniques and how to be an effective company spokesperson.
• Manage crisis communication situations, as requested, providing timely and accurate information to the public and media.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for proactive PR initiatives.
• Act as a company spokesperson and external representative when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Public Relations or a related role.
• Proven experience as a Senior Public Relations Manager or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to serve as Carollo’s spokesperson.
• In-depth understanding of media relations and the ability to build and maintain media contacts.
• Ability to translate complex technical information to easy-to-understand, relatable content for technical and general audiences.
• Adept at interfacing across all levels of an organization.
• Crisis management skills with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
• Strong leadership and team skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Proficient in using PR tools and platforms.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage simultaneous PR initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• A keen understanding of the water and environment sector.
• Excellent network of contacts in trade and mainstream media.
• Familiar with Associated Press style guidelines.
• Familiarity with digital marketing and social media trends.
• Master's degree in Public Relations or a related field.
• Experience coordinating successful PR campaigns in the water and environment sector.

Pay Range

$125,000 to $150,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
