Audio Visual Specialist

Job Summary:  An Audio Visual Technology Specialist (AVS) performs general technology solution tasks by creating, operating and servicing all organization AV classrooms, conference rooms and patient rooms while providing the best audiovisual resolutions of the organization’s needs, both on time and as service expectations require. Ability to develop, evaluate, and produce system documentation for AV installations. The most important requirement for this role is the ability to assist with setup for major presentations and maintain a client relationship, which results in excellent staff satisfaction. Support normally includes multiple aspects, such as meeting/conference/events assists and proactive AV systems maintenance. Additionally, the specialist exercises technical skill level abilities to perform routine maintenance, and repair of faulty systems and equipment.  Excellent, polished customer interaction skills. Ability to communicate professionally with staff on all levels. Must be accustomed to dealing with general contractors, with a demonstrated ability to interface with those vendors and work cooperatively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to recognize a problem/potential problem within high stress environment and report to manager. Energetic with a desire to learn and develop new skills in this position.   

Qualifications:  Associate's degree from a recognized college or university majoring in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. Must have 3 years of AV experience working as an AV technician or a related field. A willingness to obtain new technical certifications pertaining to system installation and commissioning proficiency. CTS/CTS-D/CTS-I or equivalent certifications are preferred.   Ability to interpret, evaluate, and correct AV system schematic drawing sets, including signal flow, floor plan, and other system representations, for field installation. 3 years’ experience in field installation with AV, communications, network, production, or other integrated technology systems in related field.
