Job Summary: Application Coordinators primarily have a responsibility for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical applications. They are responsible for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the software functionality and acquiring knowledge of the clinical workflows to be implemented. They design and support future-state workflow and build in collaboration with others on the Epic teams and clinical department representatives. They work with departmental and interdisciplinary workgroups to accomplish goals as a team. The Application Coordinators supervise and oversee the work of Clinical Application Analyst staff (EPIC Application Specific). Manage processes related to the effective and efficient delivery of clinical systems to customers such as project requests, reporting, clinical workflows and maintenance of EPIC and related software. Provide software support to the clinical users and with installation and troubleshooting procedures as required. Provide input and direction into the formulation of policies and procedures regarding the utilization of the EPIC software.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university majoring in Information Systems Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 3-4 years’ management experience required or an Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university majoring in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field with 5-6 years’ management experience required, or a high school diploma with 8 years’ experience in a clinical or Information Technology setting and at least one current Epic certification. Demonstrated ability and analytic skills to solve complex technical problems. Demonstrated ability to direct the work of a diversified staff and users. Strong interpersonal communication skills required. Good understanding of Microsoft Office products is required. Must pass Epic examinations and complete all training projects to satisfactory level within 4 months of hire.
