We are seeking an experienced Event Catering Manager to join our Oakland office. The Event Catering Manager is responsible for planning and executing full-service catered events at venues throughout the Bay Area.
Our ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and client service, takes ownership of the event planning process and the guest experience, organized and hands-on, gracious under pressure, and projects enthusiasm, humbleness and a positive attitude. This is a full-time, salaried career position.

What You’ll Do
- Be the primary point of contact for our clients, providing consistent communication, listen to their needs, and be well versed in our offerings to ensure an exceptional event experience.
- Lead client meetings and tastings. Provide guidance on menus, venues and staffing as well as recommend rentals and decor.
- Manage all aspects of the event planning process including: Create proposals and contracts; source and price rental orders; coordinate with venue partners and conduct site visits; collaborate with internal teams on menu selections, event staff, and packing requirements.
- Execute onsite at the event: Provide onsite coordination and actively communicate with the client, event staff, vendors, and venue; direct the set-up, service, and break-down in accordance with timelines.
- Follow-up with the client, vendors, and venue after the event; evaluate and determine what went well and areas of improvement; prepare for weekly recap meetings.
What You’ll Bring
- 4 years of client-facing experience planning and coordinating full-service catered events, preferably at multiple venues
- COVID-19 vaccination (required)

- Available to execute events on weekends and evenings at venues across the Bay Area, dependent on the event schedule
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Google Suite
