We are looking for RFP / Procurement Analyst who will play a key role in conducting research, analysis, and evaluation of sourcing activities vital for the organization's support. This role demands the application of project management capabilities, conducting cost-benefit analyses, scrutinizing contracts, and assessing pricing strategies to secure the most favorable costs via the RFP process.

We are looking for RFP / Procurement Analyst who will play a key role in conducting research, analysis, and evaluation of sourcing activities vital for the organization's support. This role demands the application of project management capabilities, conducting cost-benefit analyses, scrutinizing contracts, and assessing pricing strategies to secure the most favorable costs via the RFP process.
Primary responsibilities:
- Work with the internal stakeholders to identify and execute sourcing opportunities across products and vendors through rigorous analysis and research, including: profitability benchmarking (space, brands, products) and vendor insights (cost structures, motivations)
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure complete and accurate RFPs are sent to vendors
- Manage the RFP tools and processes from start to finish to ensure selection of best vendors (considering cost, quality, value, availability, etc.)
- Analyze item and category product costs, logistics costs, and other pricing components to perform comparative analysis of vendor proposals
- Compare procurement options and logistics strategies for RFPs
- Support annual plans and budgets development for sourcing activities
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis on trends and insight on business
- Participate in monitoring of savings achieved due to the RFP process
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Previous experience: 1-3 years of experience in RFP management, merchandising, or a similar role, preferably in the food distribution or retail sector
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent writing, editing, communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with proposal management software is a plus
- Familiarity with the food distribution industry (regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and supply chain management, consumer trends) is a plus
