About the position:
This position, based in Franklin, KY, reports to the Sr. Operations Manager and leads the operational, tactical and strategic facts of the continuous manufacturing operation. Your role will require directing the overall operations. You should be recognized as a collaborative professional possessing excellent leadership skills. You should possess skills in process improvement and relationship management (internal and external), as well as developing and articulating your strategic plan to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. With your production and shipping team, you will create functional strategies and specific objectives while working within budgets/policies/procedures. The role requires proven success both as a leader who has built and enabled effective teams and as an individual contributor who adapts easily to a rapidly changing environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for a team made up of supervisors and associates, working in a high paced demanding environment.
- Provide stability in the facility and be able to step in where needed to assist the team.
- Ensure initiatives are aligned with and supportive of business growth plans, financial objectives, customer's strategies, and value chain optimization efforts.
- Responsible for the facility's effort in deploying key strategies and identifying standard methodologies.
- Manage standardized key operational metrics working within the continuous improvement practices to build standard work regarding trends and improvements.
- Increase productivity, improve customer service levels
- Identify, train and mentor future leaders for succession planning and cross-training opportunities.
- Effectively lead a team that is focused on “5s culture”, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
- Lead with a Safety 1st Mindset and lead by example ensuring all safety guidelines are followed consistently.
- Develop an environment that champions high employee morale promoting fair and equal treatment while also driving results.
- Develop and execute daily plan considering vacations, scheduled & unscheduled absenteeism, and overtime within budget and adhering to company policies.
- Lead associate skills matrices to effectively staff an efficient operation that promotes quality. Build and perform training requirements as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree.
- 5 years experience in continuous manufacturing operations, including overseeing shipping and receiving activities and coordination with customers.
- 5 years in a leadership role and collaborating with senior leaders.
- 5 years strong management relationship skills with the ability to work across a broad range of job levels.
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have):
- BA/BS Degree in Business / Management / Engineering.
- Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Project management proficiency with a keen understanding of change management.
- Background utilizing an ERP system for operations management and associated transactions.
- Creativity and innovation to advance materials processes and initiatives.
- Critical thinking skills, including proven ability to simultaneously be tactical while forward-looking:
- Proven patience, tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to interact with various departments, levels of the organization, associates, customers, and management.
- Flexibility to work outside of established starting and ending times.
- Highly focused and results orientated in supporting sophisticated operations.
- Ability to conduct all business and personal affairs in a professional and ethical manner.
- High-energy with a pleasant and professional demeanor that promotes a team environment that delivers results.
- Basic knowledge of key OSHA regulations (such as Confined Spaces, Electrical Safety, Energy Isolation and Machine Safeguarding)

Salary : $86,200 - $109,000
