CarShield is seeking talent to joins its growing Database Development team. This role is responsible for developing and managing databases in a SQL environment. Successful candidates will have a solid background in the creation, maintenance, and modification of databases in SQL.
Reporting to the Database Development Manager, this position is responsible for:
- Managing current databases;
- Helping with migration to new version of SQL Server;
- Developing new stored procedures and SSIS packages to efficiently provide data for interval websites and analytic software;
- Managing imports of data from third-party vendors;
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements for SQL Database Developer:
- Must be able to work in-office in St. Peters, MO;
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server in a professional setting;
- Experience creating and modifying stored procedures;
- Experience creating and modifying tables, views, and functions;
- Understanding of T-SQL queries;
- Working knowledge of creating and maintaining SSIS packages;
- Basic knowledge of performance tuning stored procedures and indexing;
- Basic knowledge in developing and designing databases and data models;
- Knowledge of C# scripting in SSIS packages preferred;
- Experience troubleshooting and fixing bugs or faults in programming;
- Attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to effectively multi-task.
