Lube Technician:
We have created an opportunity to help build out our service technical team. In this role you will service and repair our customers’ vehicles with precision and efficiency, and offer our customers with prompt, courteous and excellent service while achieving the goals of the department. The lube technician is a critical team member for maintaining the company culture in the work environment, which sets CarShop apart from others in the industry. This role directly impacts the efficiencies, the team environment, and perceptions of the customer.
Primary duties include lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires, and flushing cooling systems. All business is conducted in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and the Values of the company.
What Will you do?
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with CarShop standards.
- Drains oil and refills with required amount of oil along with replacing oil and air filters.
- Inspects vehicle fluid levels, replenishes as necessary
- Checks tire pressure and adds air if needed.
- Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicates with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the promised time.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order
- Ensures that customers’ cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
