Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with the care plan established by the nurse or therapist
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Experience:
- Previous experience in patient care preferred
- Familiarity with memory care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is beneficial
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and catheter care is desirable
- Ability to cook meals for patients according to dietary restrictions is a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality
