THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Technical Solutions Manager, the Field Technical Service Representative provides field technical support and drives market discovery in the industrial process and water application space.
- Impact sales growth and customer retention by providing world-class technical service across all products and applications.
- Identification and documentation of projects or process improvements for presentation and approval by the customer while working with site teams, implementing these approved projects.
- Partners with Commercial teams to ensure that financial goals are met. Helps promote shared programs and drives to meet unit cost targets.
- Creates, implements and trains customers on SOPs for specific product applications to ensure efficient and effective performance.
- Acquires, records and analyzes process and usage data to establish baselines for product development/improvement.
- Support the development of scientific data and presentations for product applications in conjunction with the Product Team.
- Collaborates with the Product and Sales Teams to schedule and conduct technically successful plant trials, surveys, and on-site lab/plant studies, which include customer reporting, consultation, and conversion of sales prospects to customers.
- Provides input for customer presentations to justify adoption of proposed projects and to demonstrate the benefits of successfully completed proposals.
- Provides excellent customer service by collaborating diligently and expeditiously with customer, and customer service daily.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The right candidate will be a team player with excellent customer service and leadership skills. Your credentials likely include:
- A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Field) is required.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in, chemical production, chemical research lab, drinking water, wastewater treatment, and other environmental fields is preferred.
- Experience with wet chemistry lab techniques is required. Experience in the mineral mining industry a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, laboratory skills, and mechanical aptitude are a prerequisite.
- Position involves approximately 50%-70% travel and exposure to manufacturing plant environments. May include international travel.
