About the team and position

The Stock Plan Administrator is a critical role on the Total Rewards team and is responsible for delivery of our various equity plans and our Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). You are a proactive, critical thinker who is naturally curious and intrinsically motivated to continuously improve processes and encourage utilization of our many programs. You have a passion for the employee experience and strive to deliver a simple, efficient process for employees to understand their equity awards. This role reports directly to the Manager, Compensation Programs and is located in our Tempe, AZ headquarters with a hybrid work schedule of 2 days in-office and three days remote.

What you'll be doing

  • Administer all aspects of our various equity plans, which currently includes stock options, RSUs, RSAs, LLC Unit awards, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
  • Maintain employee and award information in online stock compensation system.
  • Ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of grants, stock option exercises, vests, LLC Unit exchanges, and terminations.
  • Prepare executive summary information for presentation to the Board of Directors.
  • Prepare custom reports and perform complex reconciliations to review accuracy of equity and transaction data.
  • Collaborate with our broker and transfer agent to ensure timely and accurate data flows.
  • Provide superior customer support to our participants.
  • Maintain records of grants, vesting schedules, and exercise history.
  • Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with program provisions and securities-related regulations or laws.
  • Communicate plan provisions to employees and resolve employee issues and concerns.
  • Respond in a timely manner to ad hoc data requests from Legal, People Operations, People Systems and Data, Payroll, and Accounting.

What you should know/have

Basic Qualifications

  • BS or BA Degree required (concentration in Finance/Accounting/Legal preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in finance, accounting or other similar role.
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Ability to keep information confidential

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of equity-related accounting, tax, and legal concepts.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance matters as they relate to equity.
  • Stock plan administration for a publicly traded company
  • Experience with Morgan Stanley Shareworks
