Job Posting for Accountant at Carver Maritime LLC
Carver Maritime, located in North Charleston, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our growing team. This is an in-person position.
The Accountant will support the Accounting and Operations teams by providing accounting and analysis functions such as processing accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and job cost analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Weekly billing / invoicing to customers
- Monthly invoicing of rent roll
- Analysis of current weeks billing vs. prior week
- Comparing pricing against purchase orders
- Submitting payment requests to customers
- Entry of A/P invoices into accounting system
- Generate statements and follow up on payment requests to customers
- Job cost analysis on assigned projects
- Other duties as assigned
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established yet growing company in the Charleston area. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Auditing (external or internal)
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable and Billing
- Project based accounting
Desired skills include advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software. The successful candidate will be highly organized and have strong attention to detail. Relevant experience in Accounting is required.
