Casa Bonita is an iconic Mexican-themed restaurant and entertainment mecca in Lakewood, Colorado. Known as “the most exciting restaurant in the world,” the category-defining concept is an immersive experience that features dining in the midst of a 30-foot-tall indoor waterfall, cliff divers, puppeteers, magicians, and a mystical cast of characters. Casa Bonita is celebrating its 50th anniversary of being a part of the Denver community with a fan-base that continues to grow globally.

Job Overview:
This position participates in the execution of the dive shows. They work closely with the Aqua Captain and all Wet Entertainment Cast Members to ensure that dive show performances are completed while following all safety and performance regulations. Divers must attend all scheduled mandatory practices, rehearsals, press, events, and shifts. Divers are to uphold the integrity and quality of dive show performances. They are responsible for maintaining safety regulations and show choreography.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience diving for school, club, or performance
- Must be able to swim and pass swim test
- Must have Swan, Front 1 1⁄2, Back Layout, Inward, Twisting Dive, Reverse Somersault, and several more optional dives at 13-16ft of height
- Physically fit and can climb, dive, walk, run, and dance for 6-hour long shift
- Safely endure a physically demanding job long term
- Able to climb rock faces and cliffsides
- Team driven state of mind
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with cast members and Aqua Captains
- Availability to adapt to a work environment with loud noises, distracting interactions, haze machines, and flashing lights all while maintaining the safety of you and the others around you.
- Complete repetitive jobs while maintaining quality of work
- Flexible availability including daytime, evenings, weekends, and major holidays
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to consistently deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment
- Ability to perform under high stress situations and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Willing to be lifeguard certified and to learn technical side of dive shows
- Responsive to email communication and willing to learn apps required for scheduling and pay
- Responsibilities
- Quickly learn choreography, blocking, and tone for a variety of dive shows with the ability to dive on musical and lighting cues
- Perform in front of 1,500 people regularly while holding strong stage character
- Safely complete multiple synchro dives from various dive spots
- Willing to learn partner acrobatics or partner dance
- Perform dive shows every 20 minutes on a 6-hour shift, 12 shows every shift
- Maintain the integrity of the dive shows
- Attend all mandatory rehearsals, practices, events, press, and shifts
- Complete all necessary training regarding safety, technical aspects, etc.
- Run dive shows via technical interface (training is provided)
- Understand all safety rules and regulations
- Assist in maintaining diver spaces including taking care of shammies, suits, costuming, and
trash and complete any necessary side work
- Fully understand how to wear and upkeep costuming per wardrobe direction
- Constantly be working to train and improve performance and dive skills
- Know location of pool safety equipment and fully understand safety protocols and procedures as determined by Casa Bonita
- Be able to successfully and succinctly complete radio calls
Pool
- Understand safety protocols for use of the pool
- Read and understand Pool Safety SOP, Dive Assistant Stage Manager SOP, and Pool Entry Verification Requirements
- Understand pool chemical and temperature readings and know how to take pool reading correctly
- Write pool readings on the dive pit white board (temperature, pH, and water level)
- Know how to contact facilities of Hardscapes if pool needs maintenance
- Report any pool maintenance to Aqua Captain and Entertainment Manager
- Ensure pool safety equipment is stored correctly at the end of every shift
Physical & Environmental Demands:
- Able to stand for long periods of time and dive for hours in a shift
- Able to walk up inclines and stairs and down declines and stairs multiple times during a shift
- Capable of sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds
- Able to work and perform job tasks in small spaces
- Possesses fine motor skills and dexterity
- Able to withstand temperatures typical within a commercial kitchen setting
- Able to withstand noise levels typical of a high-volume restaurant
- Able to work calmly under pressure and at a fast pace, typical of a high volume restaurant
- Capable of and at ease with engaging with the public, potentially encountering challenging behavior
