Seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader experienced in managing resource development projects. The individual will have at least 10 years of experience in nonprofit resource development, with a Master’s Degree and knowledge of Chicago’s philanthropic community preferred. This individual will develop, strengthen and execute the agency’s strategic fundraising plan through identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of current and new prospective donors. The Director of Resource Development will work in close collaboration with Program Staff members and members of the Senior Management Team. Position Highlights
1. Builds a successful giving program by identifying prospects, designing and implementing strategies, and producing materials and applications as needed.
2. Actively engages with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to develop and foster new relationships that forge pathways to increase the Agency’s assets and opportunities.
3. Identifies, qualifies and secures new opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with potential donors; develops innovative funding partnerships with organizations that further the fundraising goals and initiatives of Casa Central.
4. Analyzes trends in captured data to develop new fundraising opportunities and evaluate existing strategies within the department.
5. Develops event goals, budgets, and committees for special events, including the Annual Dinner Gala, in collaboration with the Agency’s leadership team.
6. Provides strategic advice regarding future gift giving opportunities to the Board of Directors, and supervises the Advancement Officer’s role as the Emerging Leaders Auxiliary Board (ELAB) Staff Team Lead.
7. Oversees and supports the daily tasks of Community Partnership Coordinator, Advancement Officer and Development Associate.
8. Supervises the Resource Development & Marketing Coordinator and Advancement Officer, which includes the clean up and management of the donor database, including gift acknowledgement, reports and mailing lists.
9. In collaboration with the Advancement Officer, develops volunteer-to-donor and donor-to-volunteer initiatives and aims to increase individual donations from volunteers as appropriate.
10. Works on other Adhoc projects as assigned by the Vice President of Advancement.
