Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, provide excellent patient care, and maintain dental equipment.
Duties:
- Prepare patients for dental work
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop X-rays
- Educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or completion of a dental assisting program
- Knowledge of medical documentation and HIPAA regulations
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Proficiency in X-Ray procedures and medical imaging techniques
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Ability to assist with various dental procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology and Epic systems
Requirements:
- Dental Assistant certification or license
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
