What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Advisor position at Cascades?
Your challenge!
Reporting to the Vice-President, Environment, the Environmental Advisor’s mission is to support business units in the development and implementation of environmental strategies aligned with Cascades' objectives and vision. You analyze current processes and communicate with government authorities and business partners in order to be aware of government and legal requirements regarding the environment. As a result, you can efficiently advise plants management on the best environmental management strategies and process improvement opportunities in order to reduce industrial activities’ environmental impact

Support the implementation of environmental strategies in Cascades’ business units

Propose improvements to current environmental management processes to plant management.
Verify environmental management processes
Advise and assist business units with the disclosure of legal information
Disclose information required by different government authorities
Inform business partners about environmental legal requirement
Experiences and strengths
Strong ability to positively influence partners and colleagues
3- 5 years of experience in relevant industry experience
Ability to support and advise business partners in analyzing their needs and finding solutions.
The keen sense of collaboration required to communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization, business units and government authorities
Exceptional rigour and attention to detail
Excellent team spirit for collaborating with government authorities and business units
Openness that allows you to gain a thorough understanding of the needs of partners and clients
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to carry out a number of projects simultaneously while respecting deadlines
