CASCADES CONTAINERBOARD PACKAGING
The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.
Your challenge!
Cascades Enviropack division is expanding in the York, PA region. We are looking for exceptional and adaptable talent to join us to for phase 1 of the opening of the brand new manufacture.Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the material handler will ensure that products and raw materials are packaged, transported, stored, recorded and loaded properly by following the standardized operating procedures. Forklift certification is required for this position.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure all functions are accomplished safely by following and enforcing the standardized operating procedures.
- Provide the required raw materials to all the production lines.
- Bring finished goods to the warehouse.
- Report defective or damaged materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
- Remove scrap from the production lines.
- Participate in monthly inventory counts and continuous cycle counts
- Assist the shippers with loading and unloading trucks when necessary.
- Inspect work environment and maintain it in a clean, organized and safe condition.
- Support the Safety rules, as well as all other company policies and programs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing and pulling, and operating pallet jacks and forklifts. The employee must frequently lift/and or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Items over 50 pounds may require team lift. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
