What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Assistant position at Cascadia Eye?

Our ophthalmology group is dedicated to bringing excellent eye care to patients. This position will be scheduled primarily between three of our locations, but some coverage at all of our 5 clinics will be expected. All training is performed at our Mount Vernon location. You will need to be willing to drive to all of our locations.

Our clinical team is looking for a part-time person, who is professional and kind to patients, is detail-oriented and interested in learning new information, excels at multi-tasking, is proficient with computers and typing, and is invested in being part of a team.

No nights or weekends!

We provide a competitive wage for experience based on skill level and efficiency. Experience preferred, but we will also train you!

Duties include but are not limited to: taking a detailed patient history, performing lensometry , evaluating contact lenses, checking pupils, CVF, and EOM, measuring intraocular pressures, and performing any additional testing indicated by your findings or ordered by the doctor (optical coherence tomography, Humphrey Visual Field perimetry, ATLAS topography, etc). Our clinical team also answers patient questions, works together to complete clinic tasks, and participates in ongoing training and continuing education.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $54,080.00 per year
