Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Floor Technician Manager to lead, manage, and develop our team of floor technicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of flooring services, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the floor technician team, ensuring efficient workflow and effective communication.
Recruit, train, and develop new and existing team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Perform regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members for their professional growth.
Resolve any conflicts or issues within the team and ensure a harmonious working atmosphere.
2. Service Delivery:
Ensure that all flooring projects are completed to the highest standards, adhering to industry best practices and client specifications.
Monitor the quality of work performed by the floor technicians and provide guidance and support as needed.
Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
3. Business Development:
Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to secure new contracts and expand the client base.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and promoting repeat business.
Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and technologies to enhance the company's service offerings and competitiveness.
4. Budget and Resource Management:
Manage the team's budget, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
Monitor project profitability and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Order necessary materials and equipment, ensuring their availability for ongoing projects.
5. Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for the team and clients.
Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns promptly.
Train team members on safe work practices and ensure they follow established protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a flooring-related field, with at least 2 years in a management position.
Proven track record of successfully managing and developing a team of floor technicians.
Strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and industry best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Familiarity with budget
