Job Posting for Insurance & Prior Authorization Case Manager at Case Management Solutions
Case Management Solutions is a healthcare company specializing in case management for skilled nursing facilities. There are several positions for talented and committed professionals to start immediately @ our location in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey for full-time 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday – Friday.
Essential Responsibilities:
Understand the insurance process including prior authorizations, length of stay & discharge planning
Review daily censuses for admissions, payer changes & discharges
Review & submit clinical updates to the insurance daily via fax & portal
Handle a high volume of incoming & outgoing calls
Respond to multiple emails & voicemails daily
Participate in virtual Utilization Review Meetings
Request highest level of reimbursement
Monitor & communicate insurance denials such as NOMNC & end of service to patients
Request prior authorizations from the insurance
Send appeal on denials
Document all communications thoroughly throughout the day
Navigate through preparatory software's & other web-based medical software's
Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Friendly & good customer service skills
Knowledge in insurance verification & eligibility
Basic Medical Terminology
Healthcare experience a plus
Organized & strong attention to details
Punctual & good time management
