Licensing Legal Assistant

• Obtain required licenses for assigned jurisdictions. Research, coordinate, prepare, process, and remit assigned license applications and payments for initial licenses.
• Track expiration of existing licenses and apply for renewals in a timely manner to prevent lapses, penalties, or terminations.
• Process updates, changes, and or additions to licenses as needed.
• Build relationships with state, county, and city representatives for licensing purposes.
• Work with Casey’s team members to coordinate required inspections, obtain signatures, and obtain background checks.
• Serve as primary contact regarding status of submitted documents, as well as resolving questions, inconsistencies, or missing data from documents submitted.
• Record license information and any special rules, conditions, or restrictions into appropriate database.
• Cancel licenses for closed stores.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and build professional relationships based on transparency and mutual respect with internal team members and external contacts.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred:

• Previous C-Store or retail experience.
• Previous experience with licensing is a plus.
