Job Description


Cash App is looking for an Employee Communication Specialist to help inspire, educate and inform 2,000 global employees and counting. With a keen eye for both the big picture and details, you will blend project management and creativity to support and elevate the employee experience. At Cash App, the Employee Communications team powers the voice of the company and keeps our global workforce up-to-speed and connected to our purpose. This effort is more important than ever as we become more global and distributed.

The Employee Communications Specialist will work within a larger, cross-functional People team and report to the Head of Employee Communications. This is a first-time function within Cash App so this role offers a unique opportunity to help shape Cash’s short- and long-term communications approach. The Employee Communications Specialist will be closely involved in everything from strategy to execution to build a best-in-class program that scales with Cash. As such, we are looking for someone who is driven, creative and passionate about employee communication and engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with content planning and development, including company presentations and internal storytelling

  • Support ongoing event series, including podcasts, all-hands and Q&As

  • Responsible for reporting/analytics, including employee surveys and other research to track progress toward goals

  • Provide administrative and project management support in order to deliver on Cash App’s Employee Communications strategy

  • Issues management support, working with the Head of Employee Communications and key partners

  • Develop briefs for Cash App’s internal Design team in support of premium, employee-only assets to inspire; establish an efficient and scalable process for long-term partnership


Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of communication-related experience

  • Strong project management skills

  • Understanding of, and passion for, culture and organizational effectiveness

  • Knowledge of AP Style and comfort with quick-turn writing and editing

  • Must be humble, detail-oriented, results-oriented and collaborative

  • Experience effectively communicating to technical roles is a plus

  • Experience in CMS operations, Adobe Creative Suite or Figma, event management and logistics is a plus
