Cash-Wa Distributing is the largest broad-line food distributor in the Midwest. We are a private, family-owned company that prides itself on providing the best customer service in our industry. The shipping department is currently looking for an individual to fill the role of Part Time Shipping Coordinator. The Shipping Coordinator will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.
JOB SUMMARY
This is an Operations position responsible for performing clerical and training duties within the shipping department as well as clerical support and assistance to the Warehouse Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains detailed and accurate work records; completes any required reports; work with various reporting spreadsheets.
- Assist with daily workflow of shipping operations.
- Attends and participates in all regularly scheduled meetings.
- Helps to ensure efficient warehouse operations through team collaboration and coordination with other departments.
- Implement load mapping software.
- Train Shipping Supervisor and Shipping Coordinator to use load mapping software.
- Other tasks as assigned by Warehouse Manager.
Hours for this position are 5pm-9pm Sunday through Thursday.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Good verbal, written and phone communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to speak, read and write English as it relates to job function and safety
- Basic Excel experience; willing to learn and implement new applications
- Good organizational skills, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Willing to work toward and help achieve team goals as presented by management
