What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Clerk position at Cashman Equipment?
- Following established process, the IT Clerk will be directly responsible for the procurement, tracking, receiving, distribution, and refunding/warranty repair of all IT purchasing activities, using various payment methods from a multitude of vendors.
- Process and code IT department invoices and expenses including credit card transactions and statement management.
- Create ad-hoc reports and participate in special projects as needed which often requires working independently using company/department discretion and follow up.
- Assists in creating materials such as (FAQs), internal IT SOP’s, Policies, and other documentation.
- Administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
- Ownership, responsibility, and control of internal IT calendars.
- Other task assignment as needed.
- Timely and accurate record keeping and reporting.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety regulations. Use all safety equipment when necessary. Report any unsafe acts or conditions.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners and fax machines.
- Strong document management skills (filing, sorting, tracking, etc.).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to prepare spreadsheets, correspondence and other professional documents.
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or trade school or equivalent required.
- At least two years of administrative/clerical work, purchasing, accounts payable or similar relevant experience strongly preferred.
- Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with position and responsibilities.
- Stand/walk 1-4 hours a day, and/or sit 5-6 hours a day.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
- Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 40 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.
- Using hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
- Valid Nevada driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Office environment with occasional exposure to shop and warehouse environment.
- Occasional visits to customer work sites.
- Occasional travel and overnight stays.
