What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cage Cashier PT Swing position at CASINO PAUMA?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must learn, comprehend and comply with all governmental laws and regulations, Casino and Department policy and procedures, Title 31 Regulations, MICS, and Tribal Gaming Commission Regulations.
- Provides proper security, accountability, and control of all casino assets (i.e. keys, currency, company funds) within an assigned Cage area.
- Prepares all necessary internal paperwork and completes Internal Revenue Service (IRS) paperwork, Cash Transaction Reports (CTRs), W2Gs and Multi Transaction Logs (MTLs).
- Performs cash, coin, chip, credit card and check cashing transactions.
- Conducts slot ticket, promotional voucher and gift card transactions.
- Processes chip fill/credit requests.
- Staffs Team Member window and performs all related functions.
- Processes Team Member tips.
- Performs Kiosk/ATM drop, replaces cassettes, researches guest claims, verify and reconcile cash and tickets and prepares replacement cassettes.
- Enroll new members in Player’s Club, issue Player Cards for new and existing accounts, reset player PIN and update player’s information and ID as needed.
- Effectively communicate upcoming promotions, events and special offers to the guests and direct them to the Marketing Team when needed.
- Communicates effectively with Guests and Team Members and provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to all guests and team members in a respectful and confidential manner.
- Balances window inventory and prepares balancing reports. Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Maintains and operates all machinery used to perform day-to-day operations.
- Provides assistance in the training and orientation of new cashiers.
- Responsible for attending all mandatory training classes and department meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch and perform basic math computations.
- Ability to perform basic data entry and have minimal PC knowledge.
- Must communicate and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to deal effectively, use reason and understanding, with all guests (internal and external) exercising tact, diplomacy, and patience at all times.
- Must be self-directed, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative on a daily basis.
- Must be detail oriented and have positive work ethics.
- Must be flexible and able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and special events as needed.
- Excellent guest service skills and teamwork a must.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Prior money handling experience is required.
- One year Casino Cage and or retail banking experience a plus.
- Must be able to communicate in English. Bilingual (Spanish) or multilingual a plus.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Must be able to lift and move items weighing a minimum of 30 lbs. repetitively.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, lift and reach frequently; manual dexterity and flexibility a must.
- Ability to multitask and handle mental and physical stress.
- Ability to work in a loud and smoke filled environment throughout the entire shift. Exposure to flashing lights, sounds and changing environmental conditions.
