What are the responsibilities and job description for the EDI Analyst II position at Cass Commercial Bank?
FUNCTION:
Monitors the successful operation of the production EDI system, has primary contact with shippers and carriers related to EDI production as well as testing and set-up of all modes (air, ocean, motor, and rail) EDI shipper/carrier relationships across multiple platforms. Works escalation issues and more complex projects with minimum supervision.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Proficient in testing all EDI modes.
- Functions as a resolution specialist for all international (including other country currency) setups and processes
- Review test data for adherence to industry and client defined standards by following established test plans.
- Assists with automation testing.
- Monitor production EDI systems to detect any irregularities or processing problems.
- Troubleshoot production EDI problems.
- Maintain partner information files (test and production).
- Coordinate changes to production partner information file with the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain EDI partnership records and other documentation in an organized manner.
- Generate EDI statistical and status reporting information for management.
- Document and communicate new EDI partnerships to customer relations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Be familiar with carrier billing requirements for all clients.
- Must be detailed oriented and possess strong problem solving skills.
- Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with relational database applications, including SQL queries and all Microsoft applications.
- Strong technical skills that will allow for proficiency with Tandem utility programs.
- Experience with FTP, SFTP and AS2 transfer tools.
- Experience executing test plans.
- Able to create and maintain organized documentation.
- A strong ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally at all levels.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 or more years of experience in a technical services or data processing environment.
- 2 or more years of experience working in EDI.
