Position Summary: We seek outgoing and passionate Patient Care Associates who are looking for long-term employment in a compliance-oriented position. Our PCAs will assist the management team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by strict policies, procedures and operational guidelines. Our PCAs are responsible for helping customers, thorough cannabis knowledge and passion, completing sales on a POS, cash handling, providing assistance with medication interaction checks, and customer service. You must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences, including people dealing with severe pain and illness. You must have a passion for cannabis and its healing properties as well as patience to deal with patients with a variety of health issues and demographics. This position is a solid blend between retail, customer service, and healthcare.You must be able to stand on your feet 10 hours a day, count change accurately, use scales to weigh product accurately, and blend with our existing strong team of knowledgeable, dedicated employees.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales and customer experience by maintaining a tidy, safe, and inviting store environment
- Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and the presence of the store is well maintained
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with established policies and procedures including laws and rules by the Department of Health and Senior Services
- Maintain product knowledge, including manufacturing methods and safety concerns for various conditions and illnesses
- Greeting patients warmly when they enter
- Accurately use and maintain the Point Of Sale (POS) system in person and for placing phone orders
- Correct cash handling and discount application
- Accurate and timely data entry of patient profiles
- Verifying proper paperwork, documentation and ID for patients
- Other duties as assigned by the Management Team

Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous food service or retail experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
Other Misc. Requirements:
- Background check required; no felonies allowed except felony convictions for cannabis crimes will be exempt
- Professional, tidy appearance and good personal hygiene
- Must be on time and ready to work when scheduled with reliable transportation with no excessive absences
- Medical Cannabis knowledge is required
- Patient Medical Card is required
- Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts and store location assignments
Compensation:
- $13 per hour starting pay plus cash tips, consideration will be made for prior experience (40-hour work week)
