**Description**
Our company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a CNC Laser Operator, you will play a crucial role in programming, operating, and maintaining our state-of-the-art CNC laser cutting machine. We are looking for someone who is passionate about precision engineering and has a strong working knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Solidworks, Mastercam, or similar applications. **Requirements**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in setting up CNC machines, preferably in laser cutting or a closely related industry
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Strong mathematical, reading, and writing skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Computer proficiency and familiarity with CNC programming languages
- Experience with HAAS CNC machines, hard cutting, and high-speed machining is a plus
**Responsibilities**
- Take full accountability for the programming, operation, and maintenance of our CNC laser cutting machine
- Collaborate closely with our Tool Designer-CAD/CAM to plan and execute laser cutting projects
- Follow work instructions and program lists provided by the Tool Designer-CAD/CAM
- Create and program CNC routines and patterns using advanced software
- Perform precise CNC machine setups
- Oversee all aspects of CNC laser cutting operations
- Work closely with the team to develop and execute prototype samples
- Maintain inventory of laser cutting tools and notify the supervisor when replacements are needed
- Perform routine maintenance on the CNC laser cutting machine
- Coordinate servicing of the machine if necessary
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the laser cutting process
- Accurately record hours worked and enter them into the computer system at the end of each shift
- Immediately stop a job if a non-conformance is found and consult with the Tool Designer-CAD/CAM
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear assigned personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist the Tool Room Foreman with any other duties as assigned
- Follow company rules and regulations regarding safety, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork
